Never a magazine to take itself too seriously and always ready to advertise the latest fashion trends, Playboy took a very male-oriented approach to promoting sundry items, often alluding that the quality of what was being pushed added to the sexual and professional appeal of the reader. In this 1966 ad from the September issue, Playboy allows H.I.S, a popular clothing brand at the time, to take a jab at counter-culture.
